For ICP+P Members Only
The Psychoanalytic Training Program is pleased to announce a series of four presentations and conversations with Joe Lichtenberg…
In the intimacy of a gathering of ICP+P colleagues in his Bethesda, MD home, Joe will present and discuss his latest discoveries concerning “ideas about development in a new light.” We will focus on the recent book, Narrative and Meaning by Joe Lichtenberg, Frank Lachmann and Jim Fosshage. Participants will read chapters from Narrative and Meaning to prepare for each presentation and discussion. (The book can be purchased on Amazon.) We look forward to a shared time to think and learn together.
The sessions will be held from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. on the following evenings:
- December 11, 2017: The ubiquity of narrative and the complexity of meaning.
January 8, 2018: The fundamental pathways to the development of an enlivened sense of self.Cancelled due to weather.- January 29, 2018: Good beginnings and the stories that guide analysts’ craft and spirit.
- March 12, 2018: The dialogic nature of narrative in creativity and the clinical exchange.
We are pleased to offer this program to the ICP+P community at no cost. Participation is on a first come basis. Preference will be given to individuals who sign up for all four sessions. Also, CEs will not be available for this program.
